More freedom in your day starts with a lens that fits your eyes—not just your prescription.
Dr. Arlene T. Yepremian, O.D. evaluates your vision, eye health, and daily routine to guide your contact lens choices. Whether you’re trying contacts for the first time or looking for a better fit, we’ll help you understand your next step.
How often you wear contacts, your tear film, and your vision needs all matter. Your exam helps determine which lens design and replacement schedule are appropriate for your eyes.
Use a fresh pair each day and discard them after removal. There’s no nightly cleaning or storage routine, but clean hands and proper wear habits remain essential.
Some lenses are replaced every two weeks or monthly. They require cleaning, disinfection, and storage after each wear, along with the exact replacement schedule prescribed.
Toric designs address astigmatism, while multifocal designs address distance and near vision. Lens design and replacement frequency are separate choices we’ll discuss with you.
Contacts sit directly on your eyes. A contact lens assessment adds measurements and fit checks to your eye health and vision evaluation, helping us select a lens that works with your eye’s surface.
Discomfort or an irregular cornea doesn’t automatically rule out contact lenses. A specialized assessment helps identify the right pathway for your eyes.
Explore customized options when conventional lenses don’t meet your comfort or vision needs.
Learn about larger lenses that vault over the cornea and hold a reservoir of fluid beneath them.
Understand how changes in corneal shape affect vision and why specialized fitting matters.
Explore prescribed overnight lenses that temporarily reshape the cornea, with careful screening and ongoing monitoring.
Tell us about your current lenses and what you’d like to improve.
If you develop pain, redness, light sensitivity, or sudden blurred vision, remove your contacts and contact us promptly. Don’t put the lenses back in until you’ve received guidance.
Never flush contacts down a toilet or sink. Their small size also makes them unsuitable for typical curbside recycling.
The Bausch + Lomb ONE by ONE Recycling Program, through TerraCycle, accepts used contact lenses, blister packs, and top foil through participating collection locations.
Ask our office about current program participation and collection instructions before bringing materials in. If a dedicated collection option isn’t available, place used lenses in the trash and follow local rules for packaging.
Call us to confirm that your contact lens prescription is current and ask about office ordering arrangements. Have your lens brand, prescription details, and remaining supply handy so we can guide you efficiently.
If your prescription has expired—or your lenses no longer feel comfortable—we’ll help you arrange an assessment before you reorder.
